In honor of Veterans Day and our re-launched local VFW, SoBe West is happy to announce our next Community meeting will take place on Veterans Day at the VFW 1st floor community room. Entrance is on the SE Corner of the Floridian 650 West Avenue. Valet parking available

VFW: Welcome announcement by Kruger Dobrota VFW Members & Program Chairman. Veterans Day Recognition & Indoctrination of new members.
Latest Updates by David Martin & Michael Stern on the Pedestrian Bridge, Bikini Hostel, & 1250 Condo redevelopment.
West Ave Phase II update by Stefan Ginez. Speaking on the good, the bad, the ugly, with best practices for moving forward with West Ave Phase II (Collins Canal to 14th St) to West Ave Phase III ( 8th to 14th streets) with resident input & feedback.
Resident & local small businesses innovative ideas to help our local businesses thrive.

Special thanks to the SoBe West Board & their ongoing Community Efforts:
We continue to monitor and work with city officials and David Martin on the construction of the Fifth Street Pedestrian Bridge. We discovered homeless encampment under the MacArthur Bridge and took prompt action to address its removal. We appreciate Blake Govan Mayors Deputy Chief of Staff & FDOT, MB PW in removing & cleaning up the site.
Thanks to David Martin & his team for cleaning up the Bikini Hostel site. The appearance of the property has improved dramatically while we wait for permits to be issues. Special thanks to Blake Govan for expediting the Demolition Permit & Decorative Fencing Permit to be installed around the property.
In cooperation with MB Parks & PW ongoing clean up efforts with Canopy Park, Dog park turf renovation, & Alton Court. We worked with Commissioner Fernandez to secure funding for improvements with Alton Court.
We worked with Commissioner Magazine & FPL to secure fresh pavement on portions of West Ave from 10th to 6th Street.
We are working with local restaurants & Commissioner Bhatt to be early adopters of the Blue Zone initiative to positively impact residents QOL.
We are working with City of Miami Beach, Commissioner Dominguez, & SoBe West Condo Board presidents to expedite final portions of our BayWalk.
Thanks to Stephan Ginez & local Lincoln Rd residents for their extensive efforts addressing West Ave Phase II issues with MB officials & Ric Man construction. Their work is ongoing to enhance communication to residents in the current construction zone, and optimize lighting & parking during construction.
MBPD Patrol car stationed at 500 West Avenue to help mitigate auto & motorbike traffic noise over MacArthur Bridge.
