Dear Residents & Small Local Business Owners,

Please join us Tuesday April 21st from 5:30 - 7PM at The Mirador 1200 for our next SoBe West Community Meeting. There are a lot of issues impacting our neighborhood right now from West Ave Phase 2 renovation issues to 4 Live Local threats to our neighborhood. Attendees will include MB Mayor Meiner, select MB Commissioners, City Staff, as well as local developers to address many of our concerns.

AGENDA:

1. WEST AVE. PHASE 2: Current challenges/potential best practices moving forward. West Ave Phase 3 Renderings to be provided.

2. NEIGHBORHOOD TRAFFIC: Addressing West Ave Phase 2 ongoing traffic challenges as well as Alton Rd traffic light timing.

3. LIVE LOCAL ACT NEIGHBORHOOD THREATS: Four high rise towers proposed for Alton Rd corridor.

MB Code Enforcement Officers Alexander Lacayo and George Rios on our recent Alton Ct. walk.

THANK YOU CITY STAFF: SoBe West would like to express its appreciation to the MB Code Enforcement and MB Sanitation team for joining members of the board on a recent neighborhood walk in the Alton Court alley from 8th to 16th Streets. Trash and landscape debris continue to be an ongoing issue, and 17 code violations were issued. Our hope is small businesses, property owners, and residents can work together to help maintain overall neighborhood cleanliness.
