We have a major late breaking development in our fight against the Fontainebleau Bill. Senator Shevrin Jones has just filed a critical amendment that would remove the Fontainebleau language from HB 399. This is the amendment we have been waiting for.
The amendment — Barcode #351666 — would strip out the language that would allow the Fontainebleau to bypass Miami Beach’s Historic Preservation Board and local review process.
This amendment will be voted on tomorrow.
That means we have one final opportunity to urge state senators to support Senator Jones’ amendment and protect Miami Beach residents’ right to have a voice in major development decisions affecting our community.
Even if you’ve already sent an email - please email the senators listed below NOW and respectfully urge them to support the Shevrin Jones newly filed amendment (Barcode #351666) removing the Fontainebleau language from HB 399.
