Two-Week Look Ahead Schedule
You can view the contractor's full current schedule anytime under the “Two-Week Look Aheads” tab on the City’s project page: West Avenue Project Page. It outlines ongoing and upcoming construction activities, including where crews are expected to be working and what type of work will be performed.
We've summarized the information to include the anticipated work in Segments 1, 2 and 3 through March 8, 2026 below.
Important note: The contractor will continue installing stormwater drainage on the intersection of Lincoln Road and Bay Road through the end of the month. This intersection contains challenging underground conditions and requires installation of large structures along with multidirectional pipe segments extending from the structures. Expect crews to work extended hours intermittently as the team completes daily pipe segments and related installations. As this work continues, we remind residents and visitors to please remain on designated sidewalks and crosswalks, and to refrain from moving or going around established barriers.
Segment 1 (Pump Station, West Avenue next to the post office)
Installation of pump station lighting conduit
Segment 2 (West Avenue between the post office and just south of Lincoln Road; Lincoln Road between Alton Road and the bay; and the Bay Road and Lincoln Court street ends)
Stormwater drainage installation (intersection of Lincoln Road and Bay Road, Bay Road north of Lincoln Road working south to north, and Lincoln Road toward the seawall)
Water quality well survey layout for construction (Lincoln Road, west of West Avenue)
Waterline tie-in to existing waterline (Bay Road and Lincoln Road)
Water quality well construction (Lincoln Road, east of West Ave)
Communication utility relocation (intersection of West Avenue and Lincoln Road)
Traffic signal foundation construction (intersection of West Avenue and Lincoln Road)
Segment 3 (West Avenue from just south of Lincoln Road to 16 Street; and 16 Street between Alton Road and Bay Road):
Water quality well construction (16 Street, east of West Avenue)
Waterline tie-in to existing water main (16 Street between Alton Court and Alton Road)
Tree Removals
Tree removals throughout Segment 2 will continue as needed. As a reminder, the contractor previously tagged trees for removal in preparation for upcoming drainage installation work and harmonization efforts.
