5th & Alton Shops - Publix Maintenance
SoBe West recently met with Eden Property management that manages 5th & Alton shops along with MB Property Management Division Director Ozzie Dominguez & team. The purpose was to discuss property updates regarding elevator/escalator operations & property maintenance. Eden property over the last few years since we started working with them have repainted the property, waterproofed the parking garage rooftop, enhanced garage lighting with LED, and implemented an elevator/escalator maintenance contract with Schindler. Due to high volume of elevator/escalator use & operating issues Eden property increased Schindlers maintenance contract from 16 hours a month to 32 hours month. They also approve overtime to address any operating issues. Holding the elevator doors open for an extended period and damaging elevator buttons with shopping carts are the top 2 issues causing the elevators to malfunction. Elevator P4 by Publix entrance will be closed for the next few months for a complete overhaul/rebuild.
Eden property is starting an Ambassador program when there are elevator issues to assist residents via a golf cart from the parking garage to Publix. Look for signage to be posted by Publix entrance.
